Union Presbyterian Church

Union Presbyterian Church and cemetery were established in 1835 on land donated by James Fraser, previously the congregation worshiped in the Fraser's Barn. The first church was a log structure, followed by a framed building in 1848.  In 1883 the present day building was commission and it opened in 1884.  The church and the cemetery are still active and  a burial register has been kept for all burials on this site.

An interesting historical note, from 1926 to 1934 the minister for Union and Norval Church was Rev. Ewan MacDonald. His wife organized the Young Peoples Guild. a drama club. In her spare time when she was not attending to the usual things a minister's wife is expected to do she wrote books, her name... Lucy Maude Montgomery. (Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea)
